Heart palpitations are caused by an irritable group of tissues in the heart. I've had heart palpitations for years and I notice for me that if I drink a lot of soda then they get worse. The best advice I have for you is to take a look at what is causing your palpitations and cut it out of your life or at least cut back. I can drink about a 20 oz soda once a day and not have any problems but if I start drinking soda all the time and smoke like a chimney then they get worse.… Czytaj więcej »

Are there any other symptoms? Pain? short of breath? Breaking out in a sweat?………stop drinking caffeine first. If there are problems in your life somewhere and a lot of stress……..it might be anxiety. Stop smoking….anything. Drink plenty of water, as you coukd be dehydrated. Don't take energy drinks or pills…………no diet pills either. Do you take a multivitamin? Do you get any exercise? Before exercising though, you really do need to go to see the doctor…….to make sure it is not something wrong with your heart.

When I was sixteen I went to see my doctor about my heart palpitations. She asked me my age and then asked if I had a boyfriend. I said yes. She said- if I was sixteen and had a boyfriend then I would get palpitations too. That's how seriously she took me. So, I ask you- how old are you? Do you have a boyfriend? Are you overweight? Do you drink too much coffee? Do you smoke? If the answer is yes to the previous three questions then I should see your doctor. How do you control them? Keep calm,… Czytaj więcej »

Go to the vitamin shop [not GNC] and ask a knowledgeable person that works there, if there are any supplements, herbals, it might be that you are lacking a nutrient. You might want to try a natural alternative to calm you. I try to stay away from the conventional medicine doctors. They treat the symptoms & will keep you on drugs. Don't smoke. Cell salts might help. Look for a holistic doctor. I hope this helps.

Avoid drinking caffeinated beverages or anything that contains caffeine which is a stimulant. Then you have to see your cardiologist. You might be experiencing abnormal level of your electrolytes most especially Potassium, Magnessium, Calcium. You should not take it for granted if it pertains to your heart.
