Is Rapid Fetal Heart Rate Normal In A Pregnancy With Twins?

My friend is only 10 weeks into the pregnancy with twins. Her blood pressure is high and the babies’ heart rates were high. They are having her collect her urine in a cup for 24 hours. Anyone know what they’re looking for?

They are probably looking for elevated protein levels in the urine. With twins you are more at risk for something called preeclampsia. The symptoms are elevated blood pressure and protein in the urine. (I'm having twins and they check my urine at every doctors appointment!)

For protein. Some women experience pre-eclampsia during pregnancy which is high blood pressure. Normal heart rate for infants is 120-160
